Learn Foreign Languages with Free Online Courses

Following this list of ten universities that offer free online courses, I sorted through the sites and found which ones offer free language courses:

Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Language Index
- Chinese
- French
- German
- Japanese
- Spanish

Open University

I don’t know about you, but I am pretty excited that these courses are out there for anybody to take advantage of.

      OH YESS! This is so cool!! I’m definitely going to try the MIT Japanese course once I get home and have more time this summer. Is that the same book you used, or did you have a different one? I’d love recs from you, goddess of Japanese-learnin’.. :)
      I owe you some entries on Italian fashion!! I have been taking mental notes on that and also on Amsterdam and London fashion, where I was for spring break! As soon as I have a moment I’ll email you a little something.. hopefully this weekend because I have a day off and it’s Easter :):) It’s coming I promise!
      PS: I ADORE your blog. You write the most interesting things!! I hope to write stuff as interesting this summer when I get back into my art history blog… :D

      Hey Chelsea! Thanks for your comments–they are always so uplifting!
      I actually used two different textbook series, and am now using ones provided by my school that the teachers have compiled there. I am currently working on a post about finding good learning materials, so hopefully you’ll find that helpful as well.
