Updates: Panel by panel on a semi-weekly basis
An avid follower of various web comics, I have been so lucky as to stumble upon Set to Sea, a web comic that follows the tale of a large poetic fellow who ends up on a pirate ship. Because of its layout, the storyline feels very straight-forward when read, but the dialogue and flow of events contain hints of complex emotions. Drawn by Drew Weing, an astonishing amount of detail is put into every panel without detracting from the overall simplicity of the design. (My favorites: the bookstore, the pirate ship, and the battle scenes.) Don’t be fooled by the simple caricatures, however: Set to Sea is not without its graphic moments. But do keep an eye on this comic–I know I will be eagerly waiting each update.
